Watch the Original Promotional VideoVerak Nor is an Award Winning online Star Trek role playing game, known as a "sim." It consists of a live, one-hour role-playing session every Tuesday night at 10:15 p.m. EST in our chat room and works of fiction posted to our Message Boards. This sim is based on the Post-Dominion War Star Trek Universe. It is also heavily influenced by the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine re-launch novel series.
Verak Nor offers a one-hour weekly live sim, full sound effects during the sim, message boards, an 18+ message board (not visible to the public), image galleries, full technical specs, and a long list of links and suggested reading to further your character development.
Use the navigation bar on the left hand side to learn more about the sim, its crew, and the universe in which it exist. If you are unsure as to what a "sim" entails, The Command Team recommends you read the three articles under the What Is Simming? tab. If you like, feel free to check out our Message Boards. There you can read the stories the crew members have produced outside of the weekly live sessions. From there, potential applicants should take a look at the Roster. The biographies of the crew members are posted there, and you can see if there is an open position that might interest you.
We ask that you read our Sim Rules and Character Creation Guide before applying. Once that is done, please fill out an Application. You will be contacted within a matter of days, if not within 48 hours. If your application is accepted, The Command Team will grant you access to the Message Boards, and assist you with your biography and character image (if needed).
Feel free to visit a live sim, and see what we do! Verak Nor prides itself on its unique simming experience - combining traditional text based role playing and multimedia. We strive to create a more immersive experience in order to make every week a truly exciting adventure.
